Why Should I
Adopt a Dog?
When you adopt, you are doing far more than you know. By saving just
one dog, you free up a foster home for another rescue. This, in turn,
saves the life of one more shelter animal, allowing another high-risk
dog a place of welcome refuge.
Are you currently in the middle of our adoption process?
Ready to adopt your newest family member? Let's get started!
Our goal is to make a match between your family and the perfect dog. We want happy dogs and happy humans, living together and loving each other in a “forever home.”
We recognize that each family has different needs and we will work with you to match the personality of the dog with your needs, so that you get the right dog. Our application may seem extensive, but don’t let that discourage you in any way. It is not a test! We are simply doing our best to find the right match for you.
$ 350 -$600*
Our adoption fees vary based on various factors such as the dog's age, size, length of transport ( from Texas, Korea, etc.) and more
*The fees above are fixed fee donations and can be paid by Venmo or cash. The price listed is an estimate, and can be less than the above range. In some cases we may charge more for a dog that is in incredibly high demand.
What is Included in the Adoption Fee?
Spay/Neuter Costs are partially reimbursed (upon proof of surgery completion)
Up to date on shots
Free Microchip (owner registers)
Flea and Tick Prevention
Partially tax deductible 501(c)3
A lifetime of cuddles from your MatchDog
** Heartworm Positive Dogs- Matchdog Rescue will cover the cost of one round of HeartWorm treatment only. Any HeartWorm preventatives needed during the treatment period can only be obtained through MatchDog Rescue. If a dog (4 months or older) breaks with heart worm in the first 4 months after adoption, we will help cover this.
